Sam Collings-Wells is a PhD candidate in History at the University of Cambridge. His research explores the transformation of American liberalism after the 1960s, with a particular focus on the work of philanthropy and the nonprofit sector. Prior to undertaking his PhD, he received both his Bachelors (Double Starred First) and Masters (Distinction) at the University of Cambridge. His work has appeared in the Journal of Urban History, the Journal of Global History, The International History Review, as well as in The Washington Post and History Today.
