Fox Fellowship 2017 Reunion

Reunion 2017

The Fox International Fellowship at Yale is happy to invite alumni to the 3rd Fox International Fellowship alumni reunion which will take place from the 5th to the 8th of January, 2017, in New Delhi, India.

The reunion will be located in Le Meridien Hotel in Gurgaon, and will include tours of Delhi, a Fox sponsored academic conference and different workshops.

Conference: January 7, 2017

TRAVEL

Travel to the reunion: Participants will fly into Delhi Airport (Indira Gandhi International Airport) on the 5th of January. We will arrange for transport from the airport to the hotel and back. Participants are of course welcome to arrive on an earlier date to the city and arrive at the hotel independently on the 5th.

Travel from the reunion: After checking out of the hotel on the 8th of January, transport will be available to the airport.

Due to foggy weather conditions, all flights into Delhi will arrive at night.

VISA

Prior to arriving to India you will need to apply for a Visa online here. Please make sure your country is eligible for the online process, and follow the instructions to the letter.

Hotel

The Fox Fellowship will cover the cost of a double occupancy room for each alumni. So 2 participants will have to share a room. Participants who would like to have a private room, or are bringing family, will need to cover the difference in costs.

Tentative Agenda:

The Program will start with an optional dinner on the 5th on January and will end after Breakfast on the 8th of January. Friday will be devoted to a tour of the city and Alumni programming. Saturday will include an academic conference and a banquet in the city.

Optional trips after the reunion:

1. Option 1: Day trip to Agra

Participants will leave Delhi on Sunday, January 8 in the morning and will spend the day exploring the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort returning at night to Delhi. 

Cost: Approximately $130 including travel and food. (Price is contingent on number of participants) 

2. Option 2: 3 day (2 nights) trip to Shimla

Participants will fly out from Delhi early on Sunday, January 8 and return late on Tuesday, January 10.

Cost: Approximately 600$ including travel, Breakfast and staying at the Oberoi Cicel. (Price is contingent on number of participants).

3. Option 3: 3 day (2 nights) trip to Mcleod Ganj in the Himalaya Mountains

Participants will fly out from Delhi early on Sunday January 8 and return late on Tuesday January 10.

Cost: Approximately $530 including travel, Breakfast and staying at the Fortune Park Mokhsa. (Price is contingent on number of participants).
