Can the psychology of individual financial decisions be predicted?: implications for human wellbeing

Joe Gladstone is a fourth-year PhD researcher at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School. Joe's research focuses on understanding consumer financial decision-making by analyzing large-scale transaction and personality data. This work involves partnering with banks, government departments and other financial institutions. Prior to his PhD, Joe graduated first in his class with degrees from Oxford and Cambridge Universities. He has been awarded a number of grants and prizes, including from the Economic and Social Research Council and the Leverhulme Trust. Joe's views on consumer behaviour (especially on 'nudges' in business and government contexts) have been featured on the BBC, Forbes, The Huffington Post and other media outlets.
