Project Title: 
How Did Elite Female Scientists Overcome Gender Barriers? An Assessment of Structural Factors and Personal Experiences.

Jamila Elnashef is  a doctoral candidate at the department of Educational Administration & Policy Studies in the School of Education, Tel Aviv University. The focus of her research centers on the intersection between Gender Politics, Gender Equality policies, and the personal experiences of female scientists in STEM fields. While staying at Yale, she plans to finalize her dissertation. In addition, she looks forward to start work on her next project: “A comparative study examining the model of the Research University through female and male scientists’ academic career paths and their Academic Habitus” in Israel’s leading research universities and other elite institutions in the US and in Europe.
