Emma Edinam Kploanyi is a PhD candidate at the School of Public Health, University of Ghana. Her research aims at assessing Ghana’s current strategies and progress towards elimination of hepatitis B and C by 2030.

She has coordinated different projects in biomedical and epidemiological research to characterize the laboratory network in Ghana and assess diagnostic effectiveness; strengthen laboratory capacity for COVID-19 testing; and determine seroprevalence and circulating variants of SARS-CoV-2 at the land borders.

Emma previously worked as national stakeholder coordinator in implementing small research projects on food and water security, and as a research assistant for field and laboratory investigations on malaria drug resistance. She has co-authored eight publications in international journals.
