Pop Culture, Soft Power, and International Relations in East Asia
Yuqing Wu is a PhD candidate at Yale Sociology (with BAs in Philosophy, Psychology, and Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison). She has worked at ByteDance (the company of TikTok) and Disney. She was also involved in the production of multiple extremely successful variety shows in China. Her research interest is in pop culture and how the media contributes to national soft power.
