Journeys of recovery from sexual assault trauma: Exploring the perceived lived experiences which aided and hindered the recovery of rape survivors in South Africa

Ceclin Begbie is a Masters in Public Health candidate at the School of Public Health at the University of Cape Town (UCT), and a Masters in Industrial Sociology graduate (UCT). Her academic qualifications are largely in the social and behavioural sciences domain with an overlap into business studies which includes a Honours degree in Organisational/Industrial Psychology specializing in Change management, and a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree majoring in Gender Studies, Organisational Psychology, & Industrial Sociology. She obtained a Diploma in Business Management & Entrepreneurship, and completed various short courses during her working career in academic, corporate, and non-profit organisations. Ceclin enjoys analysing and understanding human behaviour, with particular interest in complex social, cultural, and gender dynamics, and organisational problem solving. Ceclin continues her involvement in various community projects, and enjoys volunteering and assisting social service organisations which support vulnerable communities.
