Bayesian Estimation of the Mexican Central Bank's Preferences

Antonio recently finished the Master in Economics program at El Colegio de Mexico. He worked at IPADE Business School, doing research on topics such as macroeconomics, growth forecasting, emerging economies, and fiscal imbalances in European and Latin-American countries. Last summer, Antonio did an internship at Tulane University, working on the Commitment to Equity Project. There, he analyzed the impact of taxation and government spending on inequality and poverty in various countries. His current project studies the underlying economic objectives that drive Mexican monetary policy. Antonio's project will help to understand the behavior of Latin-American central banks operating under an inflation targeting regime.
