Research Interest: 
Regulating Financial Technology: Lessons from the American, South African and English Experiences.

Simon has practiced commercial and criminal litigation as an advocate of the Supreme Court of Uganda since 2016. Concurrently, he is pursuing a PhD in Commercial Law with special focus on Financial Technology Regulation from the University of Cape Town, as well as a Masters in Development Finance from Stellenbosch University (as a Mandela Rhodes Scholar). He is also a holder of Masters of Commercial Law degree from University of Cape Town. An egalitarian, his past and present works in finance all seek to develop policies that will end income and wealth inequality specifically through financial inclusion. ; He enjoys swimming, cattle herding and actively plays basketball, and has won multiple accolades in Uganda and South Africa.
