Investigating the Impact of the Enactment of the Right To Food On Mexican Rural Development Policy And Small Farmer Livelihoods

Zoé VanGelder is a graduate of the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and the University of Chicago. She has worked as an evaluator of rural development projects with JPAL and IPA in Latin America, South East Asia and North Africa. Her research focuses on the intersection of climate and agricultural politics. As a Fox Fellow at El Colegio de México, Zoé is investigating the effect of energy reforms on rural communities and agricultural livelihoods. She is also expanding upon her master’s research work, which explored opportunities and obstacles to scaling-up agroecology in Mexico.
