She is a fellow affiliated with the Institution for Social and Policy Studies, Information Society Project, Solomon Center for Health Law & Policy, and the Schell Center for International Human Rights. Ximena is researching health system reform at the intersection of health equity and bioethics, using a legal and political economy framework. She believes in the role of academia and the power of evidence-based research to inform inclusive health policy. True to her vision and passion for social justice, she lectures on critical thinking and social leadership through the lens of art at Yale. Building on this passion and interdisciplinary work, she partners with The Patient Revolution initiative at Mayo Clinic s Knowledge and Evaluation Research Unit, designing a medical service model of careful and kind health care.  She also serves on the Executive Committee of the Framework Convention of Global Health Alliance, a Geneva-based NGO, advocating for global health equity.
