The Fox International Fellowship at Yale is happy to invite alumni to the 3rd Fox International Fellowship alumni reunion which will take place from the 5th to the 8th of January, 2017, in New Delhi, India.
The reunion will be located in Le Meridien Hotel in Gurgaon, and will include tours of Delhi, a Fox sponsored academic conference and different workshops.
Conference: January 7, 2017
Travel to the reunion: Participants will fly into Delhi Airport (Indira Gandhi International Airport) on the 5th of January. We will arrange for transport from the airport to the hotel and back. Participants are of course welcome to arrive on an earlier date to the city and arrive at the hotel independently on the 5th.
Travel from the reunion: After checking out of the hotel on the 8th of January, transport will be available to the airport.
Due to foggy weather conditions, all flights into Delhi will arrive at night.
Prior to arriving to India you will need to apply for a Visa online here. Please make sure your country is eligible for the online process, and follow the instructions to the letter.
Please email Julia.Muravnik@yale.edu if you require an invitation letter
The Fox Fellowship will cover the cost of a double occupancy room for each alumni. So 2 participants will have to share a room. Participants who would like to have a private room, or are bringing family, will need to cover the difference in costs.
The Program will start with an optional dinner on the 5th on January and will end after Breakfast on the 8th of January. Friday will be devoted to a tour of the city and Alumni programming. Saturday will include an academic conference and a banquet in the city.
A detailed agenda will be up soon.

“Strung out along a 12km ridge, with steep forested hillsides falling away in all directions, the Himachal capital is a good appetite-whetter for the awe-inspiring mountain tracts of the state’s interior. Shimla is one of India’s most popular hill resorts, buzzing with a happy flow of Indian vacationers and full of echoes of its past role as the summer capital of British India.”

“When travelers talk of heading up to Dharamsala (to see the Dalai Lama…), this is where they mean. Around 4km north of Dharamsala town – or 10km via the looping bus route – McLeod Ganj is the residence of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and the site of the Tibetan exile community’s main temple.”
