Ackee and Breadfruit: Food Security and Sovereignty Opportunities in the African Diaspora

Mickhale is a Masters of Environmental Management student at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. His work considers opportunities for the transfer of agricultural and culinary knowledge between countries of the African Diaspora as a means of achieving food security and food sovereignty goals. He has previously conducted research on the relationships the relationships between large eucalyptus pulp producers and indigenous communities in Brazil. Mickhale is a graduate of Amherst College and holds a BA in Environmental Studies and Political Science.
