Defining Pluralist Nationalism: Isaiah Berlin and the Legacy of the Romantic Age

Lisa Gilson is a PhD Candidate in Political Science at Yale University, where her research focuses on far-right movements, nationalism, and romantic political thought. She holds a BA in Political Science (summa cum laude) from Tufts University, and recently served as a research fellow at Beinecke Library. During her Fox Fellowship at Cambridge University, she will be working on a project examining pluralist theories of nationalism in 1970s Britain. In addition to her doctoral research, she has also written about the foundations of nonviolent political resistance in the early twentieth century.
