Ashkhen Kazaryan is a second-year PhD Candidate at the Law School of Lomonosov Moscow State University and a current Fox Fellow at Yale. Her PhD thesis is on The Legal Regulation of Art Market . She was Vice-Head of the in-house legal department of an aircraft company and interned in few law firms, including a major civil-litigation firm in Louisiana. In her first year in the PhD program she also taught a course called Theory of Law at the School of Political Science of Lomonosov MSU and was a Visiting Professor at Vahtangov Theatre Academy, teaching a Theatre & Law course. Her academic interests include freedom of speech issues; intellectual property law; and art law, specifically rights of artists, restitution of looted art and the art market.
