Michaela Foster is a third year PhD candidate at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. In her dissertation, she is assessing the impacts of internationally-funded forest management interventions on deforestation and rural livelihoods in Zambia. She holds a Master of Science degree in Natural Resources from North Carolina State University and a BA in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Duke University.
