Barriers to Achieving a Green Growth in Mexico: A Case Study in Renewable Energies

Born and raised in Mexico, Denis is currently finishing her studies in Political Science and Public Administration at El Colegio de Mexico, with a six month stay at Sciences Po, Paris. Her thesis examines the challenges Mexico faces as it tries to meet environmentally sustainable energy growth. This inquiry consists of a public policy and political analysis of renewable energy policies as reflecting Mexico`s obligations under international agreements. During her six-month stay in Paris she worked for the OECD in the environmental commissions as a personal assistant of the Mexican minister in charge of the commission.
