Does regulation influence the provision of private health care? The case of the Turkish hospital industry.

Israfil Boyaci is a PhD candidate in Economics at Bogazici University of Turkey. His PhD research focuses on Empirical Industrial Organization and its applications to the health sector. He holds an MA degree in Economics and a BS degree in Mathematics from Bogazici University. Previously, he was a teaching assistant at Bogazici University and a research assistant at Istanbul Commerce University, Israfil has contributed to a research project funded by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK), and  has taken responsibilities in organizing academic events. While at Yale, Israfil will explore the effects and consequences of health reforms and regulations in the Turkish hospital industry.
