Cara B. Safon, MPH is a recent graduate of the Yale School of Public Health. Cara’s research and policy interests include women’s reproductive health and access to maternal and child health services among under-served populations. Last summer, she conducted her own research on infant feeding practices among women in León, Nicaragua. An Associate Researcher with Mexico’s National Institute of Public Health, she is working this Fellowship Year with her colleagues to conduct a pilot study on quality of obstetric care in Mexico. Cara holds a BA in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley.
