The Common Problems of Civil Law: The Case of Israel

Alim Ulbasehv is a postgraduate in law at Moscow State University, where he also teaches Russian private law. His Ph.D dissertation deals with the codification of civil law in Israel. He was a visiting student at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem where he studied international and private law. Alim is also a practicing lawyer in Moscow. As a Fox Fellow, Alim plans to focus his research on different issues of private law codification, development of family law and human rights protection in the US, Russia and the Middle East region.
